Sixth-ranked Homestead best no. 9 Leo 4-1 on Wednesday evening a battle of two of the state�s top boys tennis teams.

For week one photojournalist Ross Kinsey captured the sights and sound of New Haven�s Jim Rowland as the Buldogs prepared to open the season at home against Heritage.

Offense wasn�t a problem on Tuesday night at Hancock Field as 2A no. 4 Canterbury and 2A no. 12 Carroll battled to a 5-5 draw.

4A no. 7 Carroll and 4A no. 20 Concordia both earned victories on the volleyball court Tuesday night.

The Adams Central Flying Jets defeated cross-county rival Bellmont in the final minutes of the game to open up their 2015 season. We are proud to honor the Adams Central football team as our Orthopedic Hospital and Fort Wayne Orthopedics Team of the Week.

Bishop Luers is the new no. 1 in 3A, Carroll stays no. 10 in 6A, Snider still no. 3 in 5A, Woodlan cracks top 10 in 2A, while Southern Wells is ninth in 1A.

The 2015 Shindigz Summer Soccer Festival wrapped up at Hefner Fields on Sunday.

The Cadets made their presence known in the SAC by winning the conference�s annual preseason tournament with a three set sweep over Bishop Dwenger.

The 2015 high school football season kicks off Friday night and NewsChannel 15�s Highlight Zone has the games covered.

The Bishop Luers home football game with rival Bishop Dwenger will still be held.
