SSFA RYC (Boys Youth) Representative Trial Registration for 2016 season

Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA) advises that trials for the Boys Regional Youth Conference (RYC) Representative Teams will be held at Harrie Dening Centre, Bates Drive, Kareela.

SSFA advise that the Competition will be structured as follows:

  • FNSW will be operating competitions for Boys Regional Youth Conference Football in the following age groups:  U13,U14, U15, U16.
  • Players participating in the SSFA RYC teams will be dual registered with their SSFA Club and the SSFA RYC team,
  • The season is expected to commence in April with Finals scheduled for September.
  • Matches are generally scheduled to be played on Sundays, with flexibility required. That is, the RYC team drawn to play at Home will determine if the RYC matches are to be played on Saturday or Sunday.
  • The RYC should not be used to form local Club super teams. Accordingly Eligibility requirements (noted below) have been mandated for players to participate in each RYC team.
  • Training will be one night per week (on a Monday night).

 Eligibility Criteria:

All RYC players will be required to comply with the following:

  • Players must return to and maintain registration at their 2015 club in 2016 if that Club has an A or B Grade team in that Players Age Group or if they played in an older age group and have an A or B Grade team in that Older Age Group (this does not mean that the RYC participant has to be playing in a team graded A or B in the local competition).
  • The player must be registered with an SSFA club whilst participating in the SSFA RYC.
  • Age restrictions do apply. That is, players must be turning the age of the SSFA RYC team in which they are participating.

Failure to meet these guidelines will result in a loss of RYC place

Specific times and dates for each age group will be advised on the SSFA website (http://ift.tt/1FOwZtX) as soon as Leagues are announced by FNSW (expected no earlier than Monday 28 September). All players are expected to attend all trial dates and times for their age group.
