Watch: Two Texas High School Football Players Target Referee ...

NYDailyNews A San Antonio School district is investigating after a football player ran into the back of a referee watching a play and another player then dove into the official after he fell. Both players were ejected from the game. Northside Independent School District athletic director Stan Laing tells the San Antonio Express-News that video of the incident was very disturbing. Laing says the district is investigating what led up to the incident Friday. The team from John Jay High School in San Antonio was playing Marble Falls High School in Marble Falls, located about 86 miles north of San Antonio. Before the referee was hit, two Jay players had been ejected on separate plays.

This video is going viral today, and comes to us from John Jay High School in San Antonio, Texas, where a referee who was perceived to be screwing the team was targeted by two players. The referee had already ejected two members of the John Jay team, which were both apparently questionable decisions, and their teammates decided the referee had to pay. As the referee has his back turned during a play, one player hits him in the back knocking him to the turf, while another leaps on top of the pile driving him further into the turf. Expect serious discipline for these players, this was a premeditated attack, and I would not be surprised to see these players kicked off the team for their actions.
